This painting (acrylic on canvas 30x60 cm) is for Katarina. Katarina is one of the most important people in my life. She's my soul mate, my friend, my support... She's my sister. We're very close. She's the only person who I share with my most precious memories, like those of our great, wise grandad, or the memories of our gentle and loving mum... We learned the same lessons from them. How to love, and be loved, how to celebrate life, how to enjoy simple things... We are connected. My sister and I. She's the artist in our family, although she works in the corporate world... but that's another story... She's a poet and her poems are.... (I'm searching for the word..... ) I don't know... (I'm still searching...) yes, MAGICAL! She plays with words. She's so powerful, that she could tame a lion only with her words. And she's MY sister! What a blessing! If you can speak Serbian you can enjoy her magical words on her own blog: Alana u zemlji klikera (Alana in the marble world), and if you can't speak Serbian, you can still enjoy, looking at her beautiful photographs.
I've started to live my dream. The dream to be an artist. I hope she will find a way to live her dream, too.

This is exquisite! The stripes all going the same way, yet not interfering but complimenting one another is brilliant. The subtle colors are perfect, and the fact she's holding a white bird against all of the black ones gathering. It's a poetic painting that I'm sure your sister will LOVE forever.
