Two months ago I started my blog, then daily paintings, this week with great pleasure I joined The Illustration Friday, I’m currently working on a painting for my sister, I plan to open my etsy shop soon.... Everything is fine. Life is good. And then, today I discovered that I can’t open a PayPal account, because PayPal doesn’t work in Serbia, where I live. (Believe it or not, Serbia is in Europe) What a shock! I couldn't believe it! I checked out the Internet in search of some more information. I discovered that the citizens of Serbia aren’t allowed to open a bank account in other countries, and that Serbia doesn’t even have a Law on e business. How is that possible? Don’t we live in the 21st century?
Life is good. I still believe in that. But life in Serbia can be very tough. O.K. I can’t open a PayPal account ( everybody who sells on Etsy knows why it is so important), let’s see what I could do.

Later today, after I’d written the above, I checked my email, and YES!!!! LIFE IS GREAT!!! I received my first commission for a painting. Thank you Boba and Ivana (and Luna the dog) . I’ll do my best!
And I want to thank all of you who left comments on my previous post. I’m really surprised at so many supportive comments and words. Thank you very much. It gave me the strength to keep going... and to overcome the obstacles in my way...

Serbian citizens are allowed to open bank accounts in every country they want to and we have e-commerce laws although it doesn't have to do anything with issue of non-existing PayPal in Serbia.
It's just a PayPal policy that's in question here.
