Better than Modigliani

My son Dushan (7 years old) is my biggest support. He likes everithing I make, especially these little sheep. Every time I finished one, he persuaded me not to sell it, and finally he had an idea: "Mum! Don't paint sheep any more! Paint something else!!"
Yesterday he saw a book about Modigliani on my desk, and because I like to hear his opinion about various things I showed him some pictures from the book, and asked him if he liked them. To my surprise he told me: "Yes, I do like them... (pause)... but you're better!" So, what can I say? Thank you, my little precious

The sheep really are a fantastic idea! They have both style and character. (As you can see I am not an artist myself, so cannot comment on texture, brush strokes etc :))No wonder your son thinks you're better than Modigliani!

This is wonderful. I love how the sheep sits perfectly within that bright circle. Great composition and lovely details. Thanks for sharing.

I am a full time art teacher in a kindergarten through eighth grade school...and I will tell you, that kids can be the biggest fans ever...I have about 900 of them! Anything I touch, they go gaga over...which, always makes me laugh...the key is to keep that love of simplicity and art with them as they grow into adults! Imagine that---Artists would never have to struggle again!

This is my first time to your blog, it's great!!

Peace & Love.
